![]() Something like a raspberry pi is going to need another power source. I'm trying to plan ahead because Covid-19 is (among many worse things) making it very difficult to get parts in a timely manner, and because of shelter-in-place, I can't just run out to a local store to buy whatever I don't have.ĮDIT: In case anyone else catches this post, it looks like the Ender 3 does NOT provide power from the USB port. or do I need adapters.)? Or would I need to solder something on to the pi and connect it to the SKR board some other way (serial ports?) Can that port transmit power and data? Would I need a Mini-B USB to Micro-B USB cable to connect the two (does something like that even exist. Looking at the stock printer, I only see a what looks like 1 mini-B usb port. I'm waiting for my new SKR mini board to arrive in soon, and I've already flashed the octopi image on to a Pi 0 W I had laying around, but I'm not quite sure how I'm supposed to connect the Pi 0 W to the printer. I'm interested in the remote capabilities of Octopi-specifically being able to remotely send gcode files straight from my slicer to the printer, and also also remotely monitor some of the specs. I got my Ender 3 Pro a couple days ago and have had fun with a few test prints! No posts relating to functional firearms, how to obtain or construct them, or where to obtain files. No posts about printer deliveries / pictures of boxes. No "illegal" posts, for example pirated software, sharing paid models, etc.If you aren't sure about the compatibility of your current Pi, try installing OctoPi for a test run. ![]() While OctoPrint can run on the Raspberry Pi Zero W, it isn't recommended due to significant performance issues. However, the recommended model is the Raspberry Pi 3 B+.
